A sunflower whose petals aren’t formed quite right
The dewy spiders web with a strand missing
The husband who can’t stack tupperware
The colouring that goes outside the lines
A storyteller who can’t find the right words
A stunning landscape on a cloudy day
The friend too absorbed in their own troubles
The faded design on your favourite mug
An autumn leaf wet and torn
The baby we didn’t get to keep

Such a beautiful poem. Simple and sweet. I’m sorry for your loss, but glad that you have writing as an outlet. Sending hugs!

What a beautiful post. In my defense, there shouldn’t be so many different kinds of Tupperware! Haha!

love how you juggle the mundane of a mug and tupperware with the lifelong permanence of a baby and the sadness of a depressed friend.

Yes, it is. The minor and the major, hand in hand.

I related to a few of these imperfections and could add a great number more. It’s our imperfections that make us who we are and accepting them makes us real. Lovely sentiments and well written.
