A while ago we painted rocks to take on holiday and hide. See crafty rocks.
We brought some back from France with us and we’re planning to go to the North Wales coast tomorrow so we’ve artied them a bit.

The snapperwack is back along with a sunset (mine) and large boy’s initial hiding in a bush with purple berries.
The racing car is for next weekend at Silverstone.
We’re trying another new approach. Using very fine tipped felt pens to do detail and the writing on the back. It’s a lovely day so we should get two coats of the lacquer on too.
They look pretty good. We’re looking forward to hiding them tomorrow. I wonder if we’ll have more luck with someone finding them and sharing back again if we hide them nearer to home.

Ah this is great! I always wondered how people got the writing so neat. It never occurred to me to use fine tipped pens 🤦♀️

I got some nice shiny metallic felt tips in B&M lately and they work really well. The lacquer is key to making the colours show though.

We used a sharpie and some clear nail varnish yesterday, it seemed to work ok. Definitely a trip to hobbycraft coming up in the next few days though!

I used clear nail varnish for a while but I was using glass pens and it ran.
